Our Sport Achievements
MegaZip provides support to prospective and high potential athletes in such sports as Speedway, Motocross, Rally and Yachting.
We certainly have a lot to be proud of, because our athletes do well in every competition!
The Megazip yacht team won one of the stages of The Bay Regatta 2017. This year's event, held from February 15 to 19, was the twentieth running of the regatta. There were more than 300 yachts participating, from Australia, New Zealand, USA, China, Japan, Russia, Malaysia and Thailand. The challenging course required all the participants to start from Phuket, reach Krabi province on the opposite side of the bay and then return. We sincerely congratulate the Megazip yacht team and wish them further luck and new titles!
On August 20, the third phase of the Individual Speedway European Championship (SEC) was held in Tolyatti city at the stadium named in honour of Mr. Anatoly Stepanov. Our rider, Gregory Laguta, came away with the victory! During the final race, Gregory faced Antonio Lindbäck head-on. Our rider won the start and did a thoroughly professional job defending against attacks by his rival. The Swede could not manage to find a way to get past our rider throughout the whole race. It is Gregory Laguta's second SEC victory in a row. He's in good shape and one of main contenders for the title.
The second phase of the Individual Speedway European Championship (SEC) was held in Daugavpils city on August 8. Gregory Laguta claimed the victory. The final race of the second phase was against the famous racer Joonas Kulmaekorpi. Joonas won the start and held onto the lead, but on the third lap, Gregory capitalized on his opponent's small error, quickly maneuvered into position and claimed the victory again! Our congratulations to Gregory for the excellent result!
Gregory Laguta won the 2015 PGE International Individual Championship of Ekstraliga (IMME), capturing gold at the August 2nd event in Leszno (Poland). The grand finale featured 15 of the world's best IMME riders, including the 2014 champion, Emil Sajfutdinov, and the current world champion, Greg Hancock. Our sincerest congratulations to Gregory! We are so proud of his victory!
It has been 12 years since Gregory Laguta began in speedway, and we can now safely say he has become a world star. He is still incredibly motivated and constantly working to improve skills and his physical condition. His best season is yet to come.
SPEEDWAY BEST PAIRS CUP 2015
On the second round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup 2015, which took place on April 11 in the German city of Güstrow, Gregory Laguta paired up with Artem Laguta and won first place. Due to this success, the Russian team took third place overall in the first three levels.
INDIVIDUAL SPEEDWAY EUROPIAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2015
Gregory Laguta took third place in the qualifying competition for the Individual Speedway European Championship, which took place in the city of Daugavpils on May 16. This success gave him a ticket to the next round.
Autumn of 2014 year was marked by several significant successes for our athletes: On September 21, Gregory won another gold in the Latvian Open Individual Championship held in the city of Daugavpils. The home stretch of the Individual Speedway European Championship was held in the Polish city of Czestochowa on September 19. Gregory Laguta didn’t give any ground to his rivals, including the famous Nicki Pedersen and Peter Kildemandfar. Unfortunately, Gregory had to miss the early stages of the Championship due to injury, so he couldn’t participate in the overall ranking of the Individual Speedway European Championship.
The Russian Individual Speedway Championship took place in Salavat on September 5. Gregory Laguta won all heats, gained the maximum possible number of points and took home the Championship Gold Cup. This was Gregory's third victory in a row and it marks only the fourth time since 1960 that a rider has won the Individual Speedway Russian Championship three times in a row.
The all-Russian “Peter the Great Bay Cup” was held in Vladivostok from August 28 to September 7. Almost 500 participants and judges from 14 Russian cities took part in the competition. The total length of all stages was more than 500 nautical miles. The MegaZip yacht won bronze in the “40 foot Modern” category.
Vladivostok rider Gregory Laguta took second place during the home stretch of the Individual Speedway European Championship held in the city of Rzeszow on September 29. That secured the bronze medal for him in the Continental Speedway Championship.
Gregory was the most effective rider in the October 10 competition between the Vladivostok team, “Vostok,” and the Balakovo team, “Turbina.” Vostok took second place in the Russian Shale Speedway Team Championship.
The 4th International Sailing Regatta Championship (Jeju-Chonnam) was held in South Korea from October 3 to October 6. The MegaZip team won the night race between Jeju Island and the port of Chonnamand and also placed second twice in the coastal runs on Jeju Island and Mokpo.

The summer of 2013 was really productive for our moto rider Gregory Laguta.
The Russian team (Emil Saifutdinov, Gregory and Artem Laguta) took second place in the Eurosport Speedway Best Pairs International Competition held in Tortuni (Poland) on September 8.
The Final Competition of the Individual Speedway European Championship was held in Tolyatti on August 10. Gregory Laguta took third place and continues to fight for the title.
On August 22, Gregory Laguta, for the second time in his competitive career, won the Russian Individual Speedway Championship. In the final competition, held in Balakovo, our rider showed himself to be the strongest of the field.
The annual “Pacific ocean” rally was held from May 25-26 in Vladivostok. This is the second stage of the Far Eastern Federal District Rally. Eighteen teams from Vladivostok, Blagoveshchensk, Khabarovsk, Yakutsk, Ussuriisk and Komsomolsk-on-Amur battled for the victory. The overall speed results gave first place to the team of Sergey Khramtsov and Pavel Martynenko, who represent our online shop. Having won two stages in a row, the MegaZip team is currently ranked first in the FEFD Rally championship standings.
The 2013 Southern Coast International Yacht Race was held in South Korea from April 23-25. Several Russian teams, including MegaZip, took part in the competition. The Korean yacht “Band Poe” took first place, with the Russian “Karrera” team in second and the Korean team “Oka” in third. The MegaZip team turned in a fifth-place finish.
The first round of the Far Eastern Rally Championship ran in Amur Region from February 8-10. The competition featured 24 teams from Vladivostok, Birobidzhan, Khabarovsk, Blagoveshchensk, Tynda, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Raichikhinsk and Svobodny meeting on the Bolshanka lake. In Group 4 (cars), the MegaZip team won first place.
The 6th Yusunshin Cup International Yacht Race took place in Hansan Bay from October 19-23.
More than 100 yachts from the US, UK, France, Japan, China, Russia, Spain, Germany and South Korea, divided into 5 groups, took part in the race. In the ORC Club 1, it was a Russian rivalry with “Time Machine” coming first, followed by “First” and then “MegaZip” in third.
The 25th Anniversary of the Peter the Great Bay Cup was held in Vladivostok from August 23 to September 3. More than 500 yachtsmen from 18 Russian cities spent 10 days battling for the top prize. “MegaZip” took the silver medal in the “40 foot Modern” category, with only “No Applause” edging it out for the gold.
The Primorski Krai Cruiser Yacht Championship was held in Vladivostok from June 6 to June 8. “MegaZip” won the “40 foot Modern” and “IRC” categories.
The 3rd Far East Rally Championship took place near Khabarovsk from June 29-30. In a tough struggle for victory, our racers Sergey Khramtsov and Pavel Martynenko in the new MMC Lancer EVO X struck gold against the championship leaders.
After a 16-year dry spell, a Russian team is a winner in the Speedway World Team Cup. Our long-time partner and close friend, Gregory Laguta, as a part of the national team, won the bronze medal in the cup final, held in Mallila (Sweden).
Gregory Laguta is the Russian Speedway Championship 2012 winner! The Vladivostok “Vostok” rider and our friend, Gregory Laguta, captured gold in the individual Speedway competition. In the cup final, held in Tolyatti, Gregory didn't give the competition any chance to catch up. His clubmate, Renat Gafurow, took the silver and Artem Laguta the bronze.
2011 Year – Rally
Our racers won the Far East Rally Championship. The team of Segrey Khramtsov and Pavel Martynenko were crowned the best of the 2011 Rally season.
In the 2011 Korea Cup International Yacht Race, held in the Republic of Korea, our yacht “Gust” (now “MegaZip”), captained by Evgeny Kartavtsev, took second place in the ORS category. “MegaZip” won bronze in the “40 foot Modern” category of the Peter the Great Bay Cup, held in September 2011. It also won the silver medal in the Yusunshin Cup International Yacht Race, which took place in South Korea this fall.
The “Vostok” team achieved excellent results in the Russian Speedway Championship Vladivostok. Even though they didn’t capture the gold, a silver medal is an excellent result for us. We are very happy that Gregory Laguta is not just our regular customer, but also a very good friend.
But the greatest sporting achievement of 2011 is the fact that Gregory Laguta won the Individual Speedway European Championship.
